This facility was designed and built to accommodate a population increase in the Paradise area of the Avalon School District.Elizabeth Park Elementary was designed and built to accommodate a population increase in the Paradise area of the Avalon School District, with a capacity for 567 students, ranging from kindergarten to grade six. This facility is one of Newfoundland and Labradors English School Districts newest facilities, accommodating students in the in the Paradise East area. Key spaces include:
- 24 Learning/Educational Rooms
- 2 Music Rooms
- Full-service Kitchen
- Gymnasium
- Two full size basketball courts
- Outdoor Playground
- Multipurpose rooms
- Library/Resource Centre
- Staff infrastructure and common areas
This project was designed and built to meet or exceed performance specifications as set out in the Government of Newfoundland’s School Planning Manual. This facility was also one of the first LEED certified projects in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, attaining LEED Certified designation upon completion.
